FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can I go to the artist's house for my make up and/or hair session?

Usually we travel to you, but if you don't have a place where you can have your make up and hair done or take your make up lesson we can arrange for an artist to receive you at her home.

What make up brands do you use?

We do not endorse any products or get commission from any brands. Our choice of cosmetics is totally impartial and the personal choice of each individual make up artist although all the brands we use are well know high quality brands like for example, MAC, Bobby Brown, Dior, Estee Lauder, Lancome, Clinique, Clarins, Screen Face, etc.

I have sensitive skin /scalp, can I still have a make up or hairstyling lessons?

Yes, although you would have to let us know in advance so that the artist will bring hypoallergenic products with her.

What does the 'call out fee' comprise?

The call out fee covers for the cost of the artist's time getting to your venue and also for any reasonable travelling expenses. We always try to get an artist who lives close to you, however, this is not always possible so if the travelling costs are very high, we may ask them for a contribution to cover those costs.

I live in a remote location, can you still come to me?

Yes, but you need to let us know if it is not possible to get to you by public transport as not all of our artists drive.

Are deposits refundable?

Unfortunately they are not, as we are still liable to pay the artist.

Can I wash my hair on the day?

Yes you can.

Can I pay the full balance by credit card?

Unfortunately  because of accountancy reasons, only the deposit can be paid by credit card, the remaining balance is payable to the artist on arrival in cash. Except in the case of gift vouchers when the full amount would be paid by credit card.

I'm not very good with computers, can I give you my credit card details over the phone?

Unfortunately we cannot take any credit card details over the phone as our Paypal payment system requires you to agree to their terms and conditions of use and we can't do that for you. But if you are unsure how to do it, we will happily give you a call and guide you through the process, it is extremely simple.

Can I pay my deposit with a cheque or cash?

Unfortunately, we can't accept cheques or cash for the deposit payments.  One of the reason for that is that your credit card details get verified against your billing address by Paypal and we use that as a security measure for the safety of our artists.

If my make up or hairstyling lesson takes longer than the time I initially booked, do I have to pay any extra?

No, you only pay for the time you booked, if the lesson runs for a bit longer, that's not a problem.

Is the make up /hairstyling consultant going to bring any make up and hairstyling tools and products to the lesson or will it be just with my own?

Yes, the artist will bring her full kit, although it would be useful if you bring your own make up and hairstyling products and equipment as well so that she can advise its suitability and also show you how to apply it and use it correctly.

Do I have to buy anything before the lesson?

No, the consultant will bring everything you will need, and will tell you what to buy during the lesson.

Do you provide any make up instructions in writing for the lessons?

Yes, we will email them to you before the lesson.

I can't have a male artist for moral/religious reasons, is it possible to have a woman?

Yes, but you need to let us know as we also have male make up artists and  hairstylists and if you don't tell us anything, we may arrange your appointment with one of them.
